On the way to Singida through Bahi road, there is a huge damp. The area is being polluted with plastic bags and plastic bottles.Scarps and other dirty materials are damped everyday. Always a heavy smoke is being seen from this damp towards people’s residence areas if these rubbishes are burnt.
Dodoma municipal has other official established damps for damping rubbishes for example Mlezi damp and Bohari damp which is attached with market at Dodoma bus stand. People do business at this area where they sell food and other commodities. The area is unconducive for doing food business.
Once these damped rubbishes are burnt they spread out heavy smoke and unpleasant smell. The burnings are plastics and other hard materials. This is very dangerous to human health as a result of air pollution due to particles and even chemical contents of the smoke.
Considering the fact that, Dodoma is a capital City for Tanzania. How can a capital city of a beautiful Tanzania being not clean? This should be a great challenge to municipality authority, local Government and individuals as well. There is a great need of constructing good and clean damping places to make our beloved city clean.
